SEOUL, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wehome (Wehome.me), Korea’s only government-authorized home-sharing platform operating under a special permit, has successfully concluded its free luggage storage pop-up in the heart of Hongdae, Seoul, and announced plans to expand Wehome KEEP, its hands-free luggage storage service.

From October 12 to 17, Wehome partnered with SVC Seoul to operate the pop-up under the theme “Explore Hongdae, Hands-Free.” The event offered free luggage storage to both international and domestic travelers in one of Seoul’s most popular tourist districts.

Located in the heart of Hongdae, the pop-up attracted travelers looking for a convenient way to explore the neighborhood. By leaving their suitcases and bags before check-in or after check-out, visitors were able to enjoy Hongdae’s shopping streets, cafés, restaurants, and cultural attractions without the burden of carrying luggage.

According to Wehome, 77% of luggage storage users used languages other than Korean, while 23% used Korean. Chinese was the most commonly used language, accounting for 53% of all users, followed by English and Japanese. The results highlighted demand for luggage storage among international travelers and demonstrated the potential for integrating Wehome KEEP with Wehome’s home-sharing services.

Building on the success of the pop-up, Wehome plans to expand Wehome KEEP across popular tourist destinations in Seoul, including Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Seongsu. The service will enable travelers to store their luggage at convenient locations and explore Korea more freely, whether they are staying at a Wehome property or visiting independently.

“Keep Your Bags Safe. Enjoy Korea Hands-Free!”
Wehome KEEP is designed to make traveling in Korea easier and more enjoyable. Travelers can drop off their bags, explore local neighborhoods, enjoy shopping and dining, and experience Korean culture without carrying heavy luggage. The service is particularly useful before accommodation check-in, after check-out, or while exploring different parts of the city.

“This pop-up gave travelers the freedom to explore Hongdae without the burden of carrying luggage and confirmed the potential of Wehome KEEP,” said SeungBin Hong, Manager at Wehome. “We want travelers to spend less time worrying about their bags and more time enjoying everything Korea has to offer.”

Beyond luggage storage, Wehome is connecting its government-authorized home-sharing platform with additional travel services, including Wehome CallVan, its airport minivan transportation service. By integrating accommodations, airport transfers, luggage storage, and local experiences, Wehome aims to make the entire travel journey in Korea more convenient and seamless.

Under its vision of “Live Locally,” Wehome is evolving beyond accommodations into a K-LIFE Sharing platform, helping international travelers discover Korean homes, neighborhoods, culture, and everyday life.

By combining trusted, government-authorized home sharing with convenient local travel services, Wehome aims to offer a differentiated travel experience that goes beyond accommodations.
